Come gather with our community at Ballet Afrique’s 11th annual production of “Dancing Towards a Legacy” on Saturday, June 8th. This year’s show “The Element Box,” set to the music of artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Tracy Chapman, is a celebration of the life forces that sustain us all.

Together we give praise for the strength and beauty of our dancers and the importance of honoring the Black cultural experience in Austin.

This year Founder and Artistic Director China Smith is celebrating two incredible milestones in Ballet Afrique’s history: She launched the sold-out inaugural production of Ballet Afrique’s The Nutcracker Suite. And she cheered on the first college graduates of 2nd generation Ballet Afrique dancers.
